I. Applicant Eligibility
• Adopters must be between 25 and 65 years old.
• Applicants under 25 must apply and sign jointly with a parent or legal guardian residing with them.

II. Documents and Commitments Required for Application
• Original Hong Kong Identity Card and original proof of address must be presented for verification.
• Commitment to provide a suitable and safe home for the animal, and to do one's best to provide the best care.
• Restrictions on dog adoption: Due to Housing Department regulations, residents of public housing, subsidized home ownership scheme flats, or subdivided flats are not accepted for dog adoption.

III. Home Environment Requirements
• Home photos and window screen installation photos must be actively provided (families adopting cats must install safety window screens on all windows to prevent cats from falling).

IV. Responsibilities After Adoption
1. Medical Responsibilities All adopted animals must undergo mandatory sterilization, regular health check-ups, and preventative vaccinations. If the animal's age does not meet the surgical standard, sterilization must be completed before 6 to 9 months of age.
2. Home Visits and Follow-ups Consent for the organization to arrange a volunteer home visit before adoption, and follow-up home visits or phone assessments of the animal's health and living conditions may be conducted within one year after adoption.
3. Reporting Changes If any of the following situations occur, the organization must be notified within 7 days:
• Decision not to continue keeping the animal
• Animal lost
• Animal deceased
4. Prohibited Behaviors
• Reselling, gifting, breeding, using for experiments, or any commercial purposes are prohibited.
• Keeping the animal in non-domestic environments such as warehouses or shops is prohibited.
• Animals must be trained with love and positive reinforcement; intimidation, psychological abuse, or corporal punishment are strictly prohibited.
